In August 2009, Khim Tiam took up Composition and Harmony lessons with the NAC Cultural Medalion Recipient, Mr. Phoon Yew Tien. To date, her composition portfolio includes works as follows: - Ostinato for mixed quintet - Duet for Violin and Cello based on the 12 Tone technique - Divertimento for Bassoon based on Comtemporary Atonal music
